Boat Rigging |

This is the starboard side of our boat. Our trolling direction is to the Left. The two rods in the Salty Rod Holders are Dipsy Diver rods. The one to the left is the High Diver (set at 3-3.5), and the one on the right is the Low diver (set at 1-2).
The adjustable rod holders on the arch are Big Jon's. They are used for our Planer Board Rods. We used to keep them in the welded rod holders on top of the arch, but when big fish would grab them, you could not get them out. They are adjusted to point out toward the planar board as shown. The higher rod is the outermost rod on the planer board and the lower one is the one closer to the boat, that is when running two rods off the planer boards. They work great here and are out of the way of everything else.
We mount our planer board reel right on our arch. This way we do not need to be up on the bow to reel them in or out. We can also just grab the line to clip releases on it very easily. Mounting them midship has worked quite well for us.

This image is the Port backside of the boat.
We run 4 downriggers and this shows the mid port side and out port side riggers.
Again you can see how we run 2 divers on one side.
Although is is not visible, we are running our port planar board out there too. It is again mounted off the arch. You can see the waves it makes out toward shore. There is one rod attached to it in the adjustable Big Jon rod holder, it is a Penn 330.
We can run 13 rods pretty comfortable. 4 Downriggers, 4 Divers, 4 rods off the planer boards (2 on each), and 1 line off the back of the boat.
If you have any ideas on more images you would like to see, just let me know and I will try to get them posted.
