Aug. 21-22 BWSA Club Tour - Ludington
We fished the first day of the BWSA club tournament out of Ludington and had a limit catch at 11:20am. We were in first place by 2 lbs. with our 5 largest fishing weighing 86+ lbs.
We fished the second day of the BWSA tournament. Fishing was very rough in 4-7 foot waves and the field quite at 11:00am. We managed to pull 7 kings. Our largest 5 gave us another 73+ lbs, and top catch again for 5 fish. Our second day partner struggled and the boat that was in 3rd place (SeaDuce) on day 1 ended up beating us. Not the win we wanted, but still took 2nd place with 160 lbs.

July 17-18 BWSA Club Tour - Harbor Beach
The Fishigan crew entered into the BWSA Harbor Beach tournament. We skipped the DAS event due to the fact that we had 7 guys as a crew, and could not come up with the entry fee for 7 guys. The Fishigan had won this tournament the last two year and was set on defending its title. The standings were tight after day 1, but the Fishigan had a slim lead over the 8 boat field. Sunday everyone struggled. At 10:00, Fishigan was only 2 for 5. Then their program started to heat up the last two hours and they ended the day with 15 fish in the box, 1st place, and a 3-peat. It was almost crazy to boat that many fish in the winding moments of the tournament.

Ludington Offshore Classic July 10-11
Again Mike R. got to fish with the Rawhide crew in the Ludington Offshore Classic. Dave R. also got an invite to fish aboard Billfish by Captain Steve Lamb. The Rawhide crew ended up with a limit catch Saturday, but they lacked weight and found themselves in the middle of the pack. Sunday the Rawhide crew decided to fish a different area to search for some larger fish. It did not work out as planned and they struggled all morning and finally found a concentration of fish at noon, but it was too late. They found 7 nice kings, but 5 fish short of the limit killed them. The Rawhide team ended up in a disappointing 20th place out of 60 Pro boats. Billfish struggled all weekend and took 47th place.
Crew - Captain Jason Fletcher, Gary Fletcher, Andrea Fletcher, Jeremy Barber, & Mike Rymar
Manistee Budweiser June 26-27
Pro Fishing team Rawhide had an open spot on their boat for this tournament, and Mike Rymar was very luck to fill the spot.
Fishing was a bit slow for us on Saturday and we were in the middle of the pack. Sunday our luck changed and we had the heaviest cooler of the entire tournament with 95 lbs for the one day catch. It pushed us into 5th place on the Pro side, and we took home the Sunday side bet.
Crew - Captain Jason Fletcher, Brian Meredith, Jeremy Barber, and Mike Rymar
6-5 thru 6-6 Offshore Classic - Grand Haven
Finally recovered from a long 4 day weekend fishing the Offshore Challenge. We had an excellent trip. Thursday we fished close to Grand Haven in 4 footers and went 7 for 7. Thursday night we had a team meeting with 3 other boats (FISHWHORE, RAWHIDE, and OVER UNDER) to try to cover as much water a possible. Friday we were to fish between Whitehall and Muskegon, and the other boats were to be north of us. We did ok, going 16 for 20. FISHWHORE and OVER UNDER were the two middle boats and both reported 30-40 salmon on, which gave us a spot to fish the tournament. Saturday we limited early, going 14 for 14. We had to release two small trout that were under 20 inches. That gave us around 178 points for a day one catch and good for 7th in the AM division. Sunday, we struggled and somehow managed to go 8 for 8. We climbed 2 spots in the standings and ended up in 5th place out of 96 boats. We also took Big Lake Trout honors on Sunday with a 15 lb trout. 22 for 22 in tournament hours was a huge part of us doing well, and probable won't ever be repeated.
Big thanks to FISHWHORE, RAWHIDE, and OVER UNDER to helping us out. Without them there is no way we could have done what we did. FISHWHORE ended up finishing just above the middle of the pack in the very tough PRO division. RAWHIDE had the fish on to probable get in the money on the PRO side, but struggled getting them to the boat.

5-13-04 thru 5-16-04 BW Classic - Port Sanilac
We got out for a little while on Thursday evening. Fog cut our trip short. We stayed close to the harbor and managed a laker and a few pinks.
Friday was foggy again and again we stayed close to the harbor. We could not get anything to go except for one 7 lb steelhead and a few lake trout. So much for getting out and prefishing!
Saturday we ran a long ways north. It was not long after we had all rods set when we got attacked by Lake Trout. From 8:30 till 10:30 we constantly had a trout on. In that time period, we did manage to take a 2 kings too (5 lbs and 6 lbs). Our first day totals gave us three fish to weigh and 19 lbs. The leader had 39 lbs and tenth place only had 21 lbs.
Since we were only 2 lbs out of the top ten, we decided to fish the same program. This both helped us and hurt us. There seemed to be some better action south, mostly smaller fish and some steelhead. Where we were at, the fish were larger, but less of them. If we could get a couple in the boat, we could have moved up. But instead, we bombed out. We had the same trout attack in the morning. But when we got a good rip on a diver, we lost it. Then a while later we took a king on a half core. Final tally was 1 weighable laker and 1 king for 16 lbs. That gave us a total of 35 lbs. All we need to do was get 10 lbs to break the top ten, but it did not happen.
The winning boat was Russ Pilette captain of Fishwhore. Big congratulations to them. They fished hard all spring and pulled out a win in the largest spring tournament.

5-8-04 BWSA Port Sanilac
Tim Cook, Captain of King Kong, was nice enough to offer us a trip out seeing that our boat was not ready and he had room on his boat for an extra guy. So Mike Rymar jumped aboard with him.
We took fish all day long fishing mostly straight out of the harbor. Final total was around 10 lakers, 1 steelhead, and 3 kings. We only lost on quality fish that was a large steelhead that made 2-3 nice leaps in the air and then the hooks pulled out.
We ended up with our 5 largest fish weighing about 35 lbs and in second place. We got beat by less than 2 lbs.
Thanks for the ride Tim.

5-1-04 thru 5-2-04 Harbor Beach - Fish-on
Still boat is at SeaRay dealer. No fishing for our Team
4-23-04 Algonac - Lions Tournament
We did not fish the tournament. We ended up having lower unit problems and took the day to drive the boat the the SeaRay dealer in Algonac.
4-17-04 Marine City - Muskrat Classic
We were extremely happy to break our curse of 4th place finishes in this tournament by taking a 5th place.
We went 4 for 5. A nice 8 lbs King, 2 small Kings, and a Coho.
There were 13 boats entered, 7 of them weighed in fish.
